When Exponential Technological Progress Becomes Our Reality

An article that is largely based on Ray Kurzweil, a director of engineering at Google that is highly regarded for his writing on the advance of technology, the limits of biology and the future of the human species. Bill Gates has described him as, “… the best person I know at predicting the future of artificial intelligence.” Kurzweil’s “Law of Accelerating Returns” is an advancement of Moore’s Law, which states that the number of transistors in a dense integrated circuit doubles approximately every two years.
